Steelfab made a decision about 6 months ago to accelerate the process of achieving a long term goal of expanding the business. The owner had designed and had in place a unique piece of equipment which had the potential to dramatically increase our sales.

We have a relatively large amount of money invested in land, buildings, motor vehicles, plant and equipment including the new machine. The sales at the time were not sufficient to generate a reasonable return on the investment.

The challenge was to formulate a plan to achieve our goal. We suspected, and our business analyst concurred, that a corporate facelift was needed. We agreed on the slogan “better by design” and followed the recommendation to contact A Very Useful Design Service who we hoped could help us turn the plan into reality.

We were impressed by their web site and their track record. At our first meeting, Roz and John immediately gained our confidence. They accurately ascertained our present position and very shortly afterwards communicated to us a strategy which they said would not only lift our sales but change customer's and potential customer' perception of our organization.

The infectious enthusiasm of John and Roz over the next few months, transferred to our management team who embraced the new logo, brochures and overall new corporate image. Steelfab Engineering of Mundaring WA had been transformed into Steelfab Water Solutions, a solution provider with an international outlook and an image to match.

It really is amazing how many new ideas and concepts A Very Useful Design Service conceived and turned into an advantage for Steelfab. We were further surprised how quickly the strategy translated into sales. Productivity is at an all time high and the new image now permeates every part of our operation.

There is no doubt that this is due, in a very large part, to the talent, dedication, hard work, honesty and overall professionalism of Roz and John. We continue to work with them in improving some of our forms and methods of presentation. Roz and John are two of the most likable, honest and intelligent people we have dealt with. It is not possible to overate them.

In approaching the concept of a company name change we were unsure of where to begin, how much it would cost, and the amount of our time the process would consume. After initial conversations with A Very Useful Design Service we were instantly put at ease.

At no time during the initial consultation process did we feel that we were being pressured to rethink our budget, or that the service we required was being filtered by budget concerns.
